Fuyuzakura is a premium Japanese whisky brand that uses a specially crafted process to provide a distinctive flavour.
Mizunara Oak, scientifically known as Quercus mongolica var. crispula, is a very rare type of oak found in certain cooler parts of Japan. It was previously used to make expensive furniture until the Japanese discovered during World War ll that this oak could be used to store whisky in locally manufactured barrels.
Previously other types of oak were more preferred, but today Mizunara Oak is well regarded and seen as superior and more luxurious. It is also one of the rarest and most expensive types of oak on the planet today. This is because of its higher level of vanillin, the organic compound that helps give whisky its flavour. Mizunara is known for creating a unique spicy flavour often likened to sandalwood or incense. Furthermore, the wood also has hints of coconut and vanilla, which creates a complete balance.
The best ingredients are used in the production of our whisky, resulting in a flawless blend with a rich flavour.
